This will help with troubleshooting as each brand and model has it's own particular problems and quirks. The brand name will be labeled on the side of the motor.

Upload Pictures A picture of the garage door opener motor will help me determine which model it is, and its approximate age. Pictures of the remote controls, keypad, safety sensors, and wall control are helpful, too.
Upload Video A video with your garage door in action will really help with troubleshooting. If you are able to reproduce the malfunction, film it and upload here. WARNING -- If your door struggles to open, is crooked, has wheels out of the track, or is jammed, DO NOT try to operate it just for the sake of uploading a video, it could cause additional damage. Upload pictures instead.

Planning a New Garage Door Installation Please answer a couple questions about your garage door project
How many garage doors do you have? 1 2 3 4 or more
How wide are your garage doors? The distance across the inside of the door opening. Common widths are listed. If your door is an odd width please mention it in the comments section. If you have multiple doors of different widths, check all that apply.
How tall are your garage doors? The height of your garage door opening. Garage doors come in 3" height increments. The only height that is not available from most manufacturers is 7'3" (which is very uncommon). If you have multiple doors of different heights check all that apply. If your door is taller than 9', please leave a note in the comment section.
What type of garage door material are you interested in? Almost everyone that has a new garage door installed goes with a metal door these days. Ultra realistic wood paint jobs are available on metal doors at a reasonable price. Real wood doors are available as a special order.

Garage Door Height If you are looking for an estimate for a garage door opener installation, door height is a factor. If you don't know the exact height, no problem, a guess is fine for now. Most residential doors are either 7' or 8' tall.
Ceiling Height What is the approximate height of the ceiling in your garage.
Garage Door Material The material that your garage door is made of may be a factor when selecting a new opener model.
Garage Door Opener Features Which of these popular features do you prioritize?
Compatibility with Existing Openers (that are not being replaced) If you have multiple garage doors with automatic openers, and you are only planning to replace one of them, it might be convenient to have new remote controls that are compatible with your existing models. Check any boxes that apply to the garage door openers that you intend to keep and continue to use.

Damaged Garage Door Panels Some garage door panels can be replaced, while other models are no longer in production. I will help you identify what type of garage door you have and let you know if panel replacement is an option.
